Ana Ng is the big classic and sounds so fucking good. I like that the lyrics feel intimately sentimental while also being kind of nonsense. Santa's Beard is just kind of a bore compared to the rest of the album's bizarro energy.

Turn Around is just a funny song to me, and it's fun to sing. I just like it. I think some people found it scary but to me it's funny in a non sequitur kind of way. I appreciate Mammal as a meansering list of scientific fact, but it kind of sounds boring as fuuuuck

No One Knows My Plan has fun lyrics and also bangs like crazy, especially on the demos where it's much faster and jauntier. Spy isn't bad but it doesn't captivate me, and feels like it drags on a bit even though it's less than 3 minutes long.

My Man sounds so cool. I don't know enough about music to describe further than that. Scary subject matter though! Eek! Bangs is probably a weird choice for this album but I like the weirdo music, and Bangs is kind of just a normal song with boring lyrics.

The Spine - 2004
This one my favorite :)

Wearing A Raincoat's melody is fun to follow and I'm a fan of TMBG songs where the lyrics just kind of blend into nonsense. It just goes and goes. Museum of Idiots is okay, but I like it less than the rest of the album and it's one of the longest songs, so it feels like I'm just waiting for it to end.

The Else - 2007
When I first heard this album, I was still pretty fresh off the heels of only knowing pre-2000s albums, and was distracted by how comparatively normal the music in it was. Now, though, revisiting it is like, oh, this one is actually pretty weird, huh. It has some solid, straight-up bangers on it for sure, but in equal step a lot of pieces that you listen to and are just kind of like, huh! I don't know what that was!
That isn't a bad thing, of course, nor really uncommon, just a bit funny for me, specifically. This one tends to be overshadowed by others for me, but it's a good listen nonetheless. The songlist is a bit more hit-and-miss for me than others from this era that I like more, but when it's good it's GOOD good. Even if you aren't feeling the whole album, plucking the best ones to slap onto a playlist or something will do you wonders.

I'm Impressed makes an awesome opener. I like the sardonic lyrics and tone of singing juxtaposed to the harder music behind it. I like Feign Amnesia but it's just not that strong compared to all the album bangers.

We Live In A Dump has a fun beat. Flans said it's about his apartment. Yeaa baby!!! We got that landlord special!!! Greasy Kids Stuff isn't any worse than the other random little nothing songs on this album, I just genuinely feel nothing about it at all

I really like Cloisonné too, but The Lady And The Tiger is so badass and out of left field that it has to take it. You Don't Like Me is a great closer to the album but as a song by itself it's comparatively weak with its meandering low energy.

Good To Be Alive has such a pleasant sound, it makes you feel happy to listen to while also ostensibly being about Being The Most Injured Person Ever. I acknowledge End of the Rope's goal of melodrama, but it's just kinda boring to listen to.

Apophenia is punchy and fun to listen to both musically and lyrically. I thought it was about gaslighting at first, and it probably isn't but I still like the idea. I Sold My Mind To The Kremlin is a bold and unusual concept that does not really work for me at all.
